A fast and physical romp through the works of some of the most prominent and amusing women of the 20th century as well as the famous visual works, street theatre actions, and excerpts from the current comedies in Guerrilla Girls On Tour's repertoire. We research and include current local issues and statistics on the state of the arts for women in every city we perform in. Hysterical and historical.

SILENCE IS VIOLENCE

The history of Guerrilla Girls On Tour's theatrical antics and actions is combined with a 30 minute section on up-to-date statistics and strategies for combating violence against women. We dramatize one of the biggest problems facing young women today - date rape - offering both awareness and solutions in an upbeat and empowering performance. Local issues are incorporated into each performance making them site specific.

All workshops are appropriate for anyone who wishes to explore developing their creative potential and learning about using performance, behavior and communication as a way to build a bridge between communities. We have led workshops in many settings with many diverse groups from universities and high schools to museums and community centers; from professional performers and teachers to young artists, teens and youth groups.


COLLABORATIONS:
Guerrilla Girls On Tour works with local community members on special projects that culminate in the creation of visual works and performances. Collaborations take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks.
